Sberbank and International Medical Cluster Foundation have signed a Strategic Cooperation Agreement. The document was signed by Sberbank Senior Vice President, Head of Sberbank CIB Igor Bulantsev and CEO of Moscow International Medical Cluster Foundation Mikhail Yugay.
Within the scope of the Agreement the partners envisage a number of possibilities for mutual interaction. In particular, Sberbank will create a key competence centre on its premises for working with the Foundation in priority areas to provide analytical and information support and organise high tech banking service. The bank will consider the possibility of supporting the Foundation in its search for investors for implementing the project of Medical Cluster as well as the possibility of acting as one of the project's investors. A separate clause of the Agreement provides for considering ways in which Sberbank staff and the bank's corporate clients can participate in the Foundation's medical services programs.
"We see great potential for the project in the cooperation between foreign medical operators that will be working in the Cluster to the highest global standards of medical care provision using the best equipment and Russian investors with solid financial expertise and a knowledge of the market. We are pleased that Sberbank, the largest bank in Russia, Central and Eastern Europe, supports the project of the Moscow International Medical Cluster and has become our first strategic partner in project development", commented Mikhail Yugay, CEO of the International Medical Cluster Foundation.
"The Moscow International Medical Cluster will make it possible to bring advanced medical expertise and technology to Russia and Sberbank is happy to participate in a project of such importance for the country. The Agreement signed will enable the creation of a major medical infrastructure project in Russia aimed at developing the national healthcare ecosystem", stressed Sberbank's Senior Vice President, Head of Sberbank CIB Igor Bulantsev.
The Moscow International Medical Cluster is a platform where foreign and Russian organisations will not only be engaged in activities aimed at treatment, training and research but will also closely cooperate by exchanging knowledge. Therefore the Cluster will make it possible to bring advanced medical expertise and technology to Russia. The Cluster was created by the Government of Moscow and is being built on the premises of the Skolkovo Innovation Centre occupying a total area of 57 ha of leased land. This gives the Cluster an advantage in terms of the infrastructure: an infrastructure required for conducting business and for living has already been created and is developing on the premises of the Innovation Centre and the proximity of research and education centres of the Skolkovo IC opens opportunities for a synergy with the Medical Cluster participants for running education, research and development projects.
